Mauna Kea Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Candice Lucas as director of activities. She will be responsible for developing and coordinating activity programming at both Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.
“We’re looking forward to further improving the guest experience through a diverse and exciting lineup of activities from Vino & Vinyasa to rides in our new Mauna Kea sailing canoe to fun cooking and mixology classes,” said Craig Anderson, vice president of operations at Mauna Kea Resort. “Candice brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the newly created position, otherwise known as our ‘Director of Fun’.”
Most recently, Lucas held the position of director of spa at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii. Prior to this, she served as the hotel’s director of special projects, and also held positions as director of revenue management, front office manager, and reservations manager.
Lucas graduated from Kohala High School, and attended Kapiolani Community College in Honolulu, where she received an associate of science degree in hotel operations.
